Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers or other components.
• Install safety devices such as circuit breakers or fuses.
• Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment or fixtures using testing devices.
• Use a variety of tools or equipment such as power construction equipment; conduit benders; pipe cutters; hand tools; etc.
• Repair or replace wiring; switches; receptacles; breaker boxes; etc. as needed
• Troubleshoot motor and control systems
• Perform proper maintenance on electrical wiring and equipment
