Key Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Diagnose electrical malfunctions using testing devices.
- Read blueprints and technical diagrams to plan wiring layouts.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) or local Irish electrical rules.
- Perform safety inspections and issue completion certificates.
- Troubleshoot and resolve power outages or circuit issues.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an apprenticeship or vocational training program.
- Journeyman Electrician license (or equivalent certification as required by local regulations).
- Proven experience in electrical installations and repairs.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) or local electric codes.
- Proficiency with electrical testing equipment and tools.
- Problem‑solving and diagnostic skills.
