Job summary

Vanderlande seeks a Quality Engineer - Electrical in Dubai, UAE, to lead quality control across supplier, subcontractor and in-house teams. The role drives documentation, audits, and continuous improvement within project environments.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 6–8 years’ quality controls experience, plus knowledge of SCADA/PLC systems, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 6-8 years’ experience in Quality Controls in a project-based environment.
• Knowledge in steel fabrication & installation is a definite edge.
• A good understanding of SCADA/PLC systems is an advantage.
• Knowledge of business functions and processes and ability to analyze key operational control requirements.
• Clear direction and decision-making to ensure controls are maintained.
• Multicultural project teams and diplomacy to achieve objectives.
• Hands-on experience in data analysis and statistics reporting.
• Diligence with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide and control suppliers, subcontractors, and in-house teams to comply with project quality plans and documentation.
• Develop and implement project-related documentation including Inspection Plans, Test Plans, Records, Method Statements, and supplier quality requirements.
• Prepare and submit technical documentation such as IRs, MIRs, submittals, and End-Project Documentation.
• Plan and prepare internal project status meeting data to align with the schedule.
• Assist in implementing the project quality plan and quality system, including procedure development and forms.
• Document & records control, nonconformity handling, corrective actions, internal audits, and improvement opportunities.
• Carry out supplier audits and inspections (FAT/SAT) with proper recording of results.
• Prepare and deliver regular work reports and manage schedules to meet deadlines.
• Maintain QC status overview and GLOP updates; follow up to close open snags/non-conformities.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using standard quality tools.
