Vanderlande is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer in Dubai to drive the electrical design for airport material handling systems. You will develop power distribution schemes, BOMs, enclosure drawings, and installation instructions for installers, ensuring clear, unambiguous designs.
Collaborating within a multidisciplinary, international team, you will use CAD tools like EPLAN and AutoCAD and contribute to commissioning checklists and successful project execution.
Role Overview This position of Electrical Project Engineer will give you the opportunity to work on interesting, international projects together with a multidisciplinary team of engineers.
As Electrical Project Engineer, you have a key role in the total electrical design; from power distribution, right up to preparing the bill of materials for all the required electrical components.
An important aspect of your work will be producing the control diagrams, using advanced network technologies such as Industrial Ethernet, and AS-i bus.
You will provide the design and drawing sets for the manufacturing of the electrical enclosures and the total ca bling specification, from materials right through to the installation drawings and assembly instructions for the installer.

Your checklists are used for the commissioning of the complete installation, from connection to testing of the last I/O.
To make your work even more challenging with the maximum possible technology depth, we use all the functionality of our CAD systems (AutoCAD and EPLAN).
We also develop tooling to enable optimal execution of the engineering works.
The Project Engineering department is responsible for the execution of projects in which the different components (mechanical and controls) of our material handling systems are implemented.
Working under the supervision of a Project Leader, the Electrical Project Engineer is part of a multidisciplinary team of Engineers
To be successful in this role, you have at least a vocational education (MTS/MBO-4) with relevant working experience or a Bachelor's (HTS/HBO) degree in Electrical Engineering.
Strong experience in the Airport Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) domain with sound knowledge of machine lines and material handling systems.
Good understanding of electrical control panels, power distribution systems, and industrial communication networks such as PROFIBUS, Profinet, AS-i Bus, and Industrial Ethernet.
Experience with CAD tools such as EPLAN and AutoCAD.
A methodical and detail-oriented approach to engineering and project execution.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and international teams.
Forward-thinking mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
