Job summary

Sundus in Dubai seeks an Engineer Equipment Maintenance to perform installation, testing and maintenance of 400/132 kV transmission substation equipment, including GIS, power transformers, shunt reactors, and associated systems.

The role requires reading electrical drawings and control schematics, troubleshooting faults, responding to alarms, and ensuring safe, compliant work in live substations; English communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years (Bachelor's) / 7 years (Diploma)
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, testing, and maintenance of 400/132 kV transmission substation equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot GIS, Power Transformers, Shunt Reactors, and associated auxiliary systems.
• Diagnose faults in circuit breakers, disconnectors, earth switches, control schemes, interlocks, and alarm systems.
• Respond to equipment alarms, investigate technical issues, and support root cause analysis.
• Ensure safe working practices while performing maintenance in live transmission substations.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, and technical documentation.
• Demonstrate good technical communication skills in both spoken and written English.
