Job summary

JAZAL ENGINEERING & CONTRACTING LLC in Dubai seeks an Electrical Estimation Tendering professional to review tender drawings, prepare detailed quantity take-offs, BOQs and cost estimates for LV electrical systems, and coordinate with DEWA submissions.

The candidate should hold a BSc/BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering, have DEWA approval, a Dubai driving license, and a minimum of four years of local estimation and project-handling experience.

Qualifications

• BSc/BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering required.
• DEWA approval mandatory.
• Dubai/UAE experience of at least 4 years in estimation.
• Ability to prepare detailed BOQs and cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Review tender drawings, specifications, BOQs, scope of work and contract documents.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for electrical MEP works.
• Prepare BOQs and cost estimates for LV electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, UPS/gens.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare material and subcontractor comparison sheets.
• Attend pre-tender site visits and prepare site survey reports.
• Coordinate with DEWA and ensure submissions comply with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review tender drawings specifications BOQs scope of work and contract documents

• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Prepare material and subcontractor comparison sheets
• Analyse project costs manpower requirements equipment materials and installation costs
• Prepare technical and commercial offers for MEP tenders
• Identify exclusions assumptions qualifications and potential variations
• Attend pre-tender site visits and prepare site survey reports
• Participate in techno-commercial meetings and negotiations with clients consultants and main contractors
• Prepare revised offers and negotiate with suppliers subcontractors to achieve competitive project pricing

DEWA Authority Coordination

• Coordinate electrical design and installation requirements with DEWA
• Prepare and review electrical drawings and documents required for DEWA submissions
• Ensure electrical works comply with applicable DEWA regulations and approved designs
• Coordinate inspections approvals testing and energisation requirements
• Liaise with consultants contractors and relevant authorities regarding electrical requirements
• Ensure all electrical installations are executed in accordance with approved drawings and authority requirements
• Support MEP electrical and cabling works on site ensuring compliance with specifications standards and schedule
