Job summary

Khatib & Alami is seeking an Electrical Engineer for Abu Dhabi projects. You will support supervision teams on construction sites, conduct HSSE inspections, monitor activities, and assist during hand-over and defect liability periods.

You will collaborate with project managers, planning engineers, and design support teams to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and client requirements. Proficiency in Arabic and English is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Knowledge of construction supervision services.
• Understanding of international engineering standards and codes.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English.
• Good planning, organization, and time management.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with client relations and expectations.
• Assist in responding to client clarifications on technical issues.
• Organize inspections by third parties as needed.
• Ensure client satisfaction with supervision services.
• Review contractor work programs during pre-construction.
• Assist with submittals, staff proposals, shop drawings and method statements.
• Monitor daily activities and resource allocation on site.
• Assist with changes in scope, schedule and cost.
• Review RFIs with local design teams to obtain information.
• Conduct QA/QC inspections and raise quality issues.
• Work with HSSE to enforce procedures on sites.
• Review drawings, specs, and lead inspections of works.
• Supervise testing of materials and check samples.
• Review commissioning plans and prepare reports.
• Conduct final inspections and snag lists with contractor.
• Support hand-over and defect liability period activities.
• Organize third-party inspections for approvals.
• Contribute to Take-Over and Defect Liability certificates.
