- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify underlying causes of recurring faults, equipment malfunctions, or operational disruptions.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans to eliminate reoccurrence of failures.
- Support maintenance teams in complex fault diagnosis and provide technical guidance during emergency breakdowns.
Inspections and Technical Audits
- Carry out site inspections, testing, and technical audits to verify electrical works comply with design intent, approved specifications, and safety standards.
- Review inspection reports, testing & commissioning documentation, and verify as-built system integrity.
- Ensure compliance with preventive maintenance schedules and evaluate contractor performance from a technical perspective.
- Identify non-conformities and recommend technical rectifications with supporting documentation and evidence.
Operations, Maintenance, and Asset Integrity
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of electrical systems, including distribution boards, lighting systems, power panels, generators, and UPS systems.
- Support in lifecycle analysis and condition assessment of electrical assets to guide replacement or refurbishment decisions.
- Ensure all maintenance activities meet quality and reliability targets while adhering to regulatory and safety requirements.
- Participate in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Method Statements for electrical works.
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure all works and equipment comply with relevant electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards (e.g., DEWA, IEC, NFPA, BS).
- Lead electrical safety assessments, risk analyses, and incident investigations.
- Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with isolation, lockout/tagout, and energy control procedures.
Technical Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare detailed technical reports, RCA summaries, inspection findings, and engineering recommendations.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for all electrical systems, including as-built records, asset registers, and maintenance logs.
- Provide technical input to procurement specifications, tender evaluations, and contractor submittals.
