Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7 years of extensive experience in electrical installation of HV/MV power.
• Experience with substations, MV/low voltage, and power distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Study and analyze project design criteria, estimate requirements, cable sizing and load schedules.
• Prepare and review electrical drawings and specifications.
• Conduct on-site inspections to ensure installations meet project requirements.
• Estimate and allocate manpower, materials, and equipment for electrical works.
• Hold regular coordination meetings with stakeholders.
• Review estimates and budgets for ongoing projects.
• Monitor project progress and conditions.
• Ensure works comply with contract documents and standards.
• Submit daily site reports and inspection requests.
• Coordinate with client, consultants, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.

Job description

• Study, evaluate and analyze Project Design criteria and of estimate requirements along with cable sizing & load schedules.
• Prepares, maintains and reviews technical documentation such as drawings and specifications for electrical works.
• Conduct on site inspection to ensure that installations are in accordance with the Project requirements and specifications
• Estimates, prepares and assigns the resources such as manpower, materials, consumables, equipment, tools, etc. required for all Electrical related works.
• Hold regular meetings to coordinate implementation of project
• Check the estimation and budget for on-going projects
• Monitor the condition and progress of each project
• Ensures that all works are done in accordance with the approved construction contract documents, project specifications and all applicable standards whether local, national or international.
• Submit daily site reports, inspection requests, estimates and all applicable monitoring reports on regular basis as required.

OHS Responsibilities

• should be aware and demonstrate the requirement of the IMS Policy by any interested party
• Organize the site so that work is carried out to the required standard to avoid any risk to men, equipment and materials.
• Ensure effective supervision at the work areas & implement all HSE standards as per the Plan
• Give proper Safety Instructions to the subordinates before starting and during the job.
• Render help to the injured or sick personnel and provide medical assistance immediately
• Make sure that operators and attendants are employed only on equipment for which they have been thoroughly trained.
• Responsible in reporting all near miss incidents to HSE Officer, HSE Manager / Project Manager and encourage employees to report unsafe or unhealthful conditions.
• Attend promptly to all equipment defects and advise Project Management of the need for any dangerous equipment to be taken out of service until properly repaired
• Coordinate with sub-contractors and other contractors on site to avoid any confusion about areas of responsibility.
• Ensure that all equipment purchased or hired is safe and fully efficient, is guarded and equipped with safety devices and has been subjected to all necessary tests.
• Cooperate and coordinate with HSE Officer on all Safety issues at the site.
• Ensure that all personnel who are working under him are weareing relevant PPE.
• Report all near-miss / incidents to the HSE Engineer in the prescribed format without delay.
• Should participate in identifying and evaluating the hazard / risk assessments
• Should be fully aware of emergency contact numbers.
• Should participate in the fire safety drills and emergency drills at sites or offices.
• Continually help the organization to achieve the HSE Objectives.
