Job summary

KBR-Abu Dhabi is seeking a Program Delivery Assistant Engineer for Electrical Transmission systems on the TRANSCO-NEXUS project in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on overseeing construction, commissioning and handover of substations, gid-stations, STATCOM and OHL, reporting to Program Delivery Managers and coordinating multiple supervision consultants and EPCs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• 5 years of experience, with a focus on power transmission construction.

Responsibilities

• Monitors day-to-day on-site activities, schedule, oversee performance during project stages and manage flow of information.
• Lead the planning, execution and successful delivery of the TRANSCO-NEXUS Project, ensuring alignment with objectives, timelines and budget.
• Coordinate activities related to the power transmission package and oversee all EPC-related operations.
• Enhance collaboration among stakeholders including clients, supervision consultants, contractors and regulators.
• Oversee development and implementation of project management plans, schedules and resource allocation.
• Monitor performance against KPIs and implement corrective actions to maintain project health.
• Prepare and deliver progress reports highlighting milestones, risks and mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations throughout the lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to project teams.
• Coordinate commissioning and energization planning for Project Nexus and oversee the energization phase.
• Facilitate risk management processes to identify, analyze and mitigate project risks.
• Foster client relationships and proactive communication to address issues.

The Program Delivery Assistant Engineers (Electrical) will report to the Project Delivery Managers and oversee the execution and delivery of the TRANSCO-NEXUS Project, focusing on the construction, commissioning and handover of Substations, gid-stations, STATCOM and OHL.
