Job summary

Fatherson International seeks a BIM specialist to develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models for mechanical services (HVAC, chilled water, ventilation, plumbing and fire protection) in Abu Dhabi. You will prepare shop drawings and construction documentation directly from the model, and perform clash detection to resolve routing conflicts with architectural, structural and electrical teams.

Qualifications

• Proficient in creating accurate 3D BIM models for MEPS systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection).
• Experience preparing detailed shop drawings and fabrication layouts from BIM models.
• Ability to run multidisciplinary clash detection and resolve routing conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Model Development: Develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models for mechanical services (HVAC, chilled water, ventilation, plumbing, and fire protection).
• Shop Drawings: Prepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication layouts, and construction documentation from the BIM model.
• Clash Detection: Perform multidisciplinary clash detection and resolve routing conflicts with other disciplines using Navisworks.
• Discipline Coordination: Participate in coordination meetings to address design discrepancies and adjust layouts digitally prior to site installation.
• Standards Compliance: Adhere to BIM Execution Plans, naming conventions, and Levels of Development (LOD 300 to 400/500).
