Job summary

L&T Construction in Dubai is seeking an experienced EHS Engineer to lead Health, Safety and Environmental management for a major roads EPC project. The role will implement EHS systems on site and ensure compliance with UAE regulations and company standards.

You will work with project management, construction teams and subcontractors to maintain a safe, environmentally responsible site, conduct risk assessments, and deliver training and toolbox talks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Engineering/Environmental Health & Safety or related field.
• HSE certification is an advantage.
• 5–10 years of EHS/Safety experience in EPC/infrastructure/civil construction.
• Experience on UAE/GCC construction projects preferred.
• Knowledge of Dubai/UAE EHS regulations and authority requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor EHS Management System per requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and safety audits across road works.
• Identify hazards and perform risk assessments and mitigations.
• Prepare JSA risk assessments and method statements for construction.
• Monitor compliance for excavation, earthworks, roadworks, lifting operations, traffic management and utilities.
• Coordinate with teams to implement traffic management and road safety measures.
• Investigate incidents and perform root-cause analysis with corrective actions.
• Lead toolbox talks and EHS training for workers and subcontractors.
• Maintain EHS documentation, permits and reports.
• Support emergency drills and response procedures.

L amp T Construction is looking for an experienced strong EHS Engineer strong to support Health Safety and Environmental management activities for a major strong Roads EPC Project in Dubai UAE strong The role will be responsible for implementing EHS systems at the project site ensuring compliance with applicable UAE regulations client requirements and L amp T Construction s safety standards The candidate will work closely with project management construction teams subcontractors and other stakeholders to maintain a safe and environmentally compliant workplace

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the project s strong EHS Management System strong in accordance with company client and statutory requirements
• Conduct regular strong site inspections safety audits and compliance checks strong across road construction activities
• Identify workplace hazards and ensure appropriate strong risk assessments and mitigation measures strong are implemented
• Prepare and review strong Job Safety Analysis JSA Risk Assessments and Method Statements strong for construction activities
• Monitor safety compliance for activities such as excavation earthworks roadworks lifting operations temporary works traffic management and utility works
• Ensure compliance with applicable strong UAE Dubai EHS regulations and authority requirements strong
• Coordinate with project teams to implement strong Traffic Management and Road Safety strong measures within construction zones
• Investigate incidents near misses and unsafe conditions and assist in preparing strong Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Reports strong
• Conduct strong toolbox talks safety inductions and EHS awareness training programs strong for employees and subcontractors
• Monitor the use of strong Personal Protective Equipment PPE strong and ensure adherence to safe work practices
• Coordinate with subcontractors and ensure their compliance with project-specific EHS requirements
• Maintain EHS documentation inspection records training records permits and compliance reports
• Support emergency preparedness activities including strong emergency drills and response procedures strong
• Monitor environmental aspects such as waste management dust control noise spills and other construction-related environmental impacts
• Prepare daily weekly and monthly strong EHS performance reports and statistics strong for project management
• Assist in achieving project EHS objectives and maintaining a strong zero-incident proactive safety culture strong

Candidates with experience in strong Roads Highways Infrastructure Utilities or other major Civil EPC projects strong in Dubai UAE will be preferred strong Candidates with valid UAE GCC experience and relevant EHS certifications will be an added advantage strong

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety or a relevant discipline.
• Relevant professional certification in Health & Safety / EHS will be an advantage.
• 5 10 years of relevant experience in EHS/Safety, preferably within EPC, infrastructure, roads, highways or civil construction projects.
• Experience working on large-scale construction/infrastructure projects in the UAE/GCC is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety practices, risk assessment and incident investigation.
• Knowledge of Dubai/UAE EHS regulations and authority requirements.
• Good communication, coordination and reporting skills.
