Job summary

The Emirates Group in Dubai is seeking a Technical Shop Support Engineer to back engine maintenance activities within the Engine Maintenance Centre. You will review work scopes, prepare task cards in the ERP, and support shop floor with disassembly, inspection, and testing.

You'll coordinate with manufacturers for troubleshooting, ensure regulatory compliance, and help reconcile shop visit reports and invoices monthly, delivering final release certificates and documents.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in engineering with a minimum of 3 years in technical support or equivalent.
• Degree or honours in Aeronautical/Avionics/Mechanical or Aircraft Maintenance Licence for 5 years.
• Thorough knowledge of latest technical developments and industry trends on engine systems.

Responsibilities

• Review airline work scope and documents to verify accuracy of work scope levels.
• Prepare and approve all Task cards in EEMC ERP (IFS) for planning and production.
• Supervise the supply of task cards to the shop floor and guide customization as needed.
• Provide continuous technical support to the shop floor for disassembly, inspection, repairs, tooling, assembly, and testing.
• Coordinate with engine manufacturers for troubleshooting and expert technical support.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and related manuals and SOPs.
• Reconcile Shop Visit Reports and Invoices monthly with Finance; release engines after tests and provide final delivery documents.

Job description

Job PurposeJoin our Engine Maintenance Centre a cutting-edge maintenance facility where we deliver exceptional Maintenance Repair and Overhaul MRO services for the engines of Emirates fleets.As a Technical Shop Support Engineer , you will play a key role in supporting engine shop visits, ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out safely, efficiently and in compliance with OEM and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with planning, production and engineering teams to deliver high-quality outcomes while meeting operational, cost and turnaround targets.In this role you will:Technically review the Airline work scope and associated set of documents. Provide feedback for possible changes. Customer 'Repair Specs' shall be used to verify the correctness of work scope levels. Cross-check verification of customer reports for system upload.Prepare and/or approve EEMC internal work scope that includes all the customer/airline requirements (including Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, Aircraft Maintenance Programme tasks, etc) and translate the work to be performed on the engine from customer work scope to Job Instructions.Prepare and/or approve all the Task cards in EEMC ERP system (IFS solution) so Planning and the Production teams can review and prepare the work. Supervise the supply of the task cards to the shop floor (print format or e-Task card).Perform and supervise Task cards customisation as necessary depending on the engine activities and feedback from the production team.Provide continuous Technical Support to the shop floor for any enquiry related to the disassembly, inspection, repairs, tooling, capability, assembly, and testing of the engine. Support the new repair process or the introduction of new modification.Coordinate with engine's manufacturer to request assistance for troubleshooting, clarification on manuals and any sort of technical support beyond EEMC scope of responsibilities.Accountable for the compliance of all the technical instructions provided to the shop floor, as per regulatory requirements, Maintenance Organisation Exposition, Engineering Procedure Manual, Standard Operating Procedures etc.Perform and supervise the review of Engine Manual revisions and Service Bulletins for routine and repair task card amendments.Provide support for the reconciliation of Shop Visit Report and Invoices on monthly basis with Finance department.Coordinate the release of engines after test and provide all the re-delivery documents such as but not limited to Life Limited Part status, Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives reports, AMP tasks list, Assembly Status Report, Carry Forward Sheet, Ship Loose, Ship Short, final release certificate; and organise/upload on the documents to the designated portals.QualificationTo be considered for this role you must meet the below requirements:Experience of 5+ years in Engineering of which a minimum of 3 years in Technical Support or equivalent.Degree or Honours 12+3 or equivalent in Aeronautical Avionics Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and/or holder of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence for 5 years.Thorough knowledge of latest technical developments and industry trends on respective Engine Systems Ability to analyse and synthesise the technical information for implementation in cost effective ways.Excellent drafting report writing skills.Demonstrable experience in managing complex tasks and decision making in a fast-paced environment.Should have experience in Engine Work Scoping and Job Instructions Authoring.Salary & benefitsJoin us in Dubai and enjoy an attractive tax-free salary and travel benefits that are exclusive to our industry, including discounts on flights and hotels stays around the world.
