Job summary

The University of Manchester – Dubai is seeking an academic to teach and supervise students on the MA Education Leadership in Practice programme. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, research-informed teaching, undertake scholarly activity of international standing, and support the University's engagement with students and partners across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

We are looking for Assistant/Associate/Professor levels, depending on experience and research

Qualifications

• A final degree and a PhD or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Relevant professional experience enabling credible, informed teaching and project supervision.
• Experience of teaching postgraduate students and presenting high-quality teaching in the United Arab Emirates.
• Evidence of scholarly activity, including publications in academic and/or practitioner-oriented journals.
• Experience with international accreditation frameworks and outcome-based education.
• Willingness to travel internationally for programme delivery and engagement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching and supervise student projects on the MA Education Leadership in Practice programme.
• Review and update course content and materials regularly in consultation with course directors.
• Develop innovative teaching techniques and materials to engage students.
• Contribute to curriculum design, assessment, and moderation with compliant course documentation.
• Undertake scholarly activity of international standing and publish in journals.
• Lead and develop external links and networks to foster collaboration and knowledge transfer.
• Support student success, retention, and progression, and provide academic mentoring.
