Job summary

GEMS FirstPoint School in Dubai seeks an outstanding Teacher of Economics to join from August 2027. There may be opportunities for middle leadership responsibilities, including Curriculum Leadership, Head of Year, ECA Coordination, or Head of Careers, fostering career progression within GEMS Education.

Opened in 2014, the school is in The Villa, Dubai, serving ~2,000 students from Nursery to Year 13 with a rich curriculum and extensive enrichment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics or related subject.
• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or equivalent).
• Experience teaching Economics within the British curriculum, including GCSE.
• Excellent subject knowledge and commitment to engaging learning.
• Passion for inclusive education and ability to inspire students of all abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; contribute to school life.

Responsibilities

• Teach Economics to GCSE and A‑Level cohorts within the British curriculum.
• Potential to take middle leadership responsibilities (Curriculum Leadership, Head of Year, ECA Coordination, or Head of Careers).
