Job summary

Atkins Realis Group seeks an experienced E&M site inspector for Dubai metro stations to supervise electrical and mechanical works, ensuring compliance with drawings, ITPs, and Employer’s Requirements, and supporting Site Engineers on overground and underground stations.

You will perform daily surveillance, witness tests, coordinate with civil teams, monitor safety, and maintain DPRs, NCRs, punch lists and project records for QA/QC rigor.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–8 years in E&M site inspection for metro, preferably in metro stations.
• Experience with QA/QC checklists and design-build workflows.
• Previous metro/rail project experience is essential.
• Multidisciplinary E&M inspection, documentation, basic submittal review, coordination with contractors and PMC engineers.

Responsibilities

• Daily site surveillance and checks across HVAC, ECS, fire protection, lifts and escalators.
• Witness tests, compile evidence for acceptance, and manage NCRs.
• Coordinate with civil works for access, log interfaces in ICD.
• Monitor HSSE compliance and NFPA 130 life safety features.
• Prepare DPRs, inspection reports, measurements and punch lists; track closure.

Overview Act as PMC field inspector covering both electrical and mechanical for metro station services common inspectors for E amp M supporting Site Engineers to ensure D amp B contractor s works meet approved drawings ITPs codes and Employer s Requirements across overground and underground stations

Your role

Daily Site Surveillance amp Checks

• Conduct routine inspections on works performed by the contractor for HVAC ECS TVS fire protection hydrant sprinkler detection water supply amp drainage lifts amp escalators MV LV distribution lighting amp UPS earthing lightning protection and BMS SCADA cabling and terminations
• Record observations raise NCRs where applicable
• Verify ITPs WIRs compliance material deliveries storage handling maintain QA checklists and test records per PMC policy

Testing amp Commissioning Support

• Witness local tests pressure tests duct leakage functional tests assist with FAT SAT IST witnessing and compile evidence for acceptance

Interface amp Coordination

• Coordinate with civil works for access penetrations check clearances and supports report interface issues promptly to Site Engineers and log in ICD registers

Safety amp Compliance

• Monitor HSSE on site hot works elevated work electrical safety ensure adherence to NFPA 130 life safety features during installation smoke control paths emergency ventilation readiness

Reporting amp Documentation

• Prepare Daily Progress Reports DPRs photo logs inspection reports support measurements and bill verification maintain punch lists and track closure

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma/Bachelor in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.5 8 years in E&M site inspection for metro preferably in metro stations.Experience with QA/QC checklists and design build workflows.Previous experience working on metro/rail projects is essentialMulti disciplinary E&M inspection (mechanical + electrical), documentation, basic submittal review, coordination with contractors and PMC engineers.Reports to Station Mechanical/Electrical Site Engineers; escalates critical issues to Resident Engineer (MEP).
