Job summary

A global engineering firm based in Dubai is seeking a skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the oil & gas sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of electrical systems and ADNOC project experience, essential for managing electrical equipment on site. This role involves developing engineering procedures, managing network capacities, and ensuring safe operations at the facility.

Qualifications

  • Mandatory ADNOC project experience.
  • Efficiently manage resource allocation for EC&I Engineering function.

Job Description
  • Assists in a variety of topics including developing procedures, improved design recommendations or new or better equipment purchase recommendations
  • Controlling the main power systems that supply site manufacturing, buildings and offices and the distribution circuits to each area
  • Managing the site High voltage and Low voltage network capacity and maintenance thereof
  • Scheduling and executing Electrical supply equipment maintenance strategies (predictive and preventive)
  • Evaluating and authorising maintenance and contractors for works onsite
  • Act as the site authorised person for the management of electrical equipment in flammable areas
  • As part of the engineering team, support the safe operation of the site, including supporting project activity, advising the operational maintenance teams of maintenance needs for plant side power systems and issuing and controlling safe system of work permits for electrical works
  • On a site-wide scale, develop and lead reliability programs and strategies
  • Understanding of Instrument and Electrical Mechanical Integrity Systems as it applies to the Chemical Industry
  • Actively participate in mentoring and development of personnel supporting the Reliability group
Qualifications
  • Bachelors / Diploma in Electricals and Instrumentation or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in Electrical & Instrumentation within the oil & gas sector
  • Mandatory ADNOC project experience
  • Efficiently manage resource allocation for EC&I Engineering function
  • Support the Project Team objectives by managing resource and providing suitable project support
  • Internal - Responsible for liaison with internal work teams, including facilitation of regular team and customer meetings and relevant external and internal policy changes / updates
