Job summary

Sharjah American International School – Umm Al Quwain campus is seeking a Spanish Language Teacher to join the World Languages department. You will create a vibrant learning environment, teaching Spanish across multiple grade levels with emphasis on communication skills and cultural appreciation.

The role involves designing lessons, developing speaking/listening/reading/writing skills, assessing progress, and contributing to school events such as International Day.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Spanish or related field.
• PGCE or State Teaching License.
• Experience teaching Spanish in international or American curriculum preferred.
• Native or near-native fluency in Spanish with strong English skills.
• Excellent classroom management and student-centered learning.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging Spanish lesson plans.
• Develop speaking, listening, reading and writing skills through interactive activities.
• Expose students to cultures, traditions, and history of Spanish-speaking countries.
• Assess student progress and provide detailed progress reports to parents and school leadership.
• Support school-wide events such as International Day to promote cultural awareness.
