Job summary

GEMS Royal Dubai School in Dubai is seeking a dynamic secondary Performing Arts teacher to join our growing team. You will deliver engaging lessons across Performing Arts, drama and related disciplines, building confidence, collaboration and creativity in a diverse student body.

The postholder will lead curriculum development for the department, contribute to extra-curricular activities, and uphold the school's high standards and values within a premium British curriculum environment.

Qualifications

Recognised teaching qualification and degree in Performing Arts, Drama, Dance, or a closely related subject.
Experience of teaching Performing Arts at secondary level and GCSE; BTEC Performing Arts experience desirable.
Proven record of securing strong student outcomes.
Excellent classroom practice, behaviour management and communication skills.
Ambition, adaptability and collaborative mindset to contribute to a growing secondary school.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver consistently excellent, engaging Performing Arts lessons across relevant disciplines.
Set high expectations for achievement, behaviour and participation in a safe learning environment.
Use assessment to adapt teaching, provide meaningful feedback and track progress.
Develop the secondary Performing Arts curriculum, productions, resources, and assessment.
Build strong relationships with students, colleagues and families, communicating progress clearly.
Contribute to wider school life through pastoral duties, enrichment and events.
Engage in professional learning, coaching, appraisal and quality assurance.
