Job summary

GEMS Wesgreen International School in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates is hiring an Early Years Teacher to deliver EYFS curriculum in a British environment. The successful candidate will use play-based and teacher-guided methods to develop early literacy and numeracy, communicate with families, and monitor progress within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Ideal profile: hold a B.Ed or bachelor's with a PGCE/PGDE or equivalent in Primary or Early Years education.
• Experience with National Curriculum for England is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Early Years learning experiences aligned to the EYFS.
• Support literacy, numeracy, communication, and social development through play-based and guided activities.
• Observe and assess child progress, maintain records, and plan next steps.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, colleagues and families to support each child’s development.
