Job summary
GEMS Royal Dubai School invites applications for a dynamic Computing Teacher to join our vibrant, premium British curriculum secondary team. You will deliver high-quality Computing lessons aligned with NCfE, foster digital literacy, computational thinking and problem-solving, and contribute to the growing secondary phase as we expand to Year 13.
The successful candidate will hold a recognised teaching qualification and a degree in Computing or Computer Science, with GCSE experience desirable.
Qualifications
- A recognised teaching qualification is required.
- A degree in Computing, Computer Science or a closely related subject is required.
- Experience with NCfE and GCSE teaching is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Computing lessons aligned with the NCfE.
- Develop programming, digital literacy and computational thinking skills.
- Set high expectations for achievement, behaviour and participation.
- Contribute to Computing curriculum planning, assessment and moderation.
- Support GCSE Computer Science pathways as the secondary phase grows.
- Build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
- Engage in wider school life including enrichment and pastoral activities.
