Job summary

GEMS Education in Dubai seeks an enthusiastic Business and Economics Teacher for our secondary school team. You will deliver GCSE and A Level content under the British Curriculum, assess progress, and support learners with BTEC units where relevant.

You'll contribute to safeguarding and an inclusive learning environment while engaging with exams preparation, scheme reviews, and departmental planning in a multicultural setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience teaching Business and/or Economics in secondary school.
• Strong knowledge of the British Curriculum (GCSE/A Level).

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Business and Economics lessons under the British Curriculum.
• Teach GCSE and/or A Level Business and Economics courses as timetabled.
• Assess and track student progress with timely feedback.
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations.
• Maintain records of achievement, progress, and assessment.
• Use data to identify gaps and provide interventions.
• Incorporate current affairs and real-world cases into lessons.
• Support development of schemes of work and departmental resources.
• Contribute to departmental planning and school activities.
• Uphold safeguarding and an inclusive learning environment.
