Job summary

Techie Vaibhav in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Telecom Commissioning Engineer focused on DWDM/OTN and IP/MPLS networks. The role involves installation, testing, commissioning, migration, fault isolation, documentation, and coordination with OEM engineers.

Strong hands-on experience with DWDM/OTN systems and industry certifications is required. Responsibilities include optical testing, OSNR verification, service migration, and post-migration validation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field.
Relevant DWDM/OTN or optical network certification is preferred.
Huawei, Nokia, Cisco or equivalent certification is an advantage.
UAE driving licence is mandatory.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, test, and commission DWDM/OTN equipment and related components.
Perform wavelength provisioning, channel assignment, and optical power balancing.
Measure transmit/receive power, span loss, OSNR, and link margins.
Carry out optical fiber testing with OTDR, power meter, light source, and OSA.
Conduct fault isolation, BER testing, redundancy testing, and service restoration.
Coordinate with technicians, subcontractors, and OEM engineers.
Prepare commissioning reports, migration records, and acceptance documents.
