Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred.
• Prior experience working in a library or similar setting preferred.
• Knowledgeable about current trends in libraries and information services.
• Ability to use computer programs such as databases for cataloging materials.
• Excellent communication skills - both verbal & written.

Responsibilities

• Organizing the library's collection of books, periodicals, and other materials according to established procedures and guidelines.
• Maintaining accurate records of library holdings.
• Assisting patrons with reference questions.
• Developing resource guides and bibliographies to support research.
• Helping patrons with their technology inquiries.
• Keeping the library neat and organized at all times.
• Participating in library-sponsored events such as book fairs or readings.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
