Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous forklift operator experience in warehouse or logistics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely for movement, loading and unloading of goods.
• Load and unload freight shipments, pallets, containers and warehouse materials.
• Transport goods between receiving, storage, staging and dispatch areas.
• Stack and arrange materials securely in designated locations.
• Inspect forklift before each shift and report issues.
• Follow safety procedures and workplace regulations.
• Check loads for balance and safe positioning.
• Assist with receiving, picking, staging and dispatch activities.
• Verify labels and shipment information before moving goods.
• Maintain safe operating distances and report hazards.
• Keep forklift clean and in good condition.
• Assist with basic inspections and maintenance checks.
• Follow handling procedures for fragile, heavy, and sensitive materials.
• Coordinate with staff and maintain movement records when required.
• Adhere to PPE and health and safety requirements.
