Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or associate degree in land surveying, civil engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum four years of experience inspecting or supervising irrigation and landscaping activities on infrastructure projects.
• Ability to interpret maps, plats, drawings, and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Carry out topographic and construction surveys for irrigation and landscape activities.
• Complete geodetic computations and routine field calculations.
• Establish project requirements with client, contractor, and engineering team.
• Plan field activities to meet schedule, labor-hour, and cost targets.
• Check horizontal setting-out and vertical levels for new construction.
• Identify utility locations and verify protection is maintained.
• Produce sketches communicating field measurements and surveyed conditions.
• Keep field books, data, sketches, and survey records complete and current.
• Verify location and elevation of irrigation lines, landscape works, and infrastructure.
• Capture original ground levels and final construction levels.
