Job summary

AECOM in Dubai, UAE is seeking a Senior Associate Architect to lead the design and development of commercial and residential buildings. You will mentor junior architects, guide cross-functional teams, and ensure designs meet client objectives and regulatory requirements.

You will oversee complex projects, manage timelines and budgets, deliver comprehensive drawings and specifications using BIM (Revit) and AutoCAD, and stay updated with industry trends to drive innovative, sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in architectural design with a focus on buildings and commercial projects.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a senior or lead architectural role.
• Advanced proficiency in BIM software, particularly Revit, and CAD platforms such as AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, construction standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated expertise in architectural design principles, spatial planning, and building systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of commercial and residential building projects from inception through completion.
• Prepare architectural drawings, specifications, and documentation using BIM and CAD tools.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to analyze project requirements and constraints.
• Develop and present design concepts and proposals to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure designs comply with UAE codes, international standards, and sustainability requirements.
• Oversee junior architects and design staff, providing mentorship and feedback.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and consultants to resolve design challenges.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables while maintaining quality.
• Review and quality-assure deliverables for accuracy and consistency.
• Stay current with emerging architectural trends, technologies, and best practices.
