Qualifications

• Proven experience as a cashier or in a similar role preferred.
• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles a plus.
• Familiarity with electronic equipment such as cash register & POS systems preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers upon entry and answer their questions.
• Process payments from customers using cash, credit cards & other payment methods.
• Balance cash registers at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Maintain a neat and organized workspace.
• Aid customers in locating items they are searching for.
• Handle returns and refunds in an efficient manner.
• Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner.
• Monitor all transactions to ensure that the proper amount is received.
• Assist with other duties related to the store operations as needed.
