Job summary

University of Birmingham Dubai is seeking a careers guidance professional to lead the on-campus careers service. You will deliver guidance, develop employability learning, and partner with programme teams to improve graduate outcomes across their caseload.

You will work with the Careers Network and Employers Engagement and Employability Skills Manager to implement employability strategies across the Dubai campus, drawing on your knowledge of the graduate labour market and student aspirations.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level.
• A recognised careers guidance qualification (e.g. PG Dip. or QCG).
• Experience of delivering careers advice and guidance.
• Proven experience working with students or graduates and providing excellent customer experience.
• Project management skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
• Willingness to network and develop new leads/projects.
• Excellent time management and self-management skills.
• Familiarity with data and IT tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a high-quality Careers and Employability service for students and stakeholders.
• Use data-driven approaches and KPIs to demonstrate impact.
• Provide careers advice and guidance to students and graduates.
• Develop and deliver employability seminars and workshops.
• Create action plans aligning with the Dubai campus strategy.
• Lead data collection and analysis via Graduate Destination Survey.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver employability services and ensure quality.
• Engage with students to tailor approaches for employability success.
