Job summary

Mc Dermott in Dubai seeks a Principal Marine Operations Specialist with extensive offshore installation and EPCI delivery experience. Lead field engineers, set priorities, coordinate across procurement, fabrication and marine teams to ensure safe, on-time execution.

You will mentor engineers, ensure compliance with standards, review installation methods, and maintain strong client engagement throughout the project lifecycle in a structured energy environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• 10–14 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry with a major contractor, consultant, or EPCI organization.
• Strong background in marine operations, field engineering, offshore installation, or construction engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise field engineers and senior field engineers assigned to offshore installation projects.
• Set clear technical priorities and ensure engineering deliverables are completed within approved schedules.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and practical mentorship to engineering team members.
• Verify that field engineering activities follow project specifications, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company procedures.
• Coordinate engineering inputs across procurement, fabrication, construction, marine operations, and offshore installation teams.
