Job summary

Decima International is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical QA Inspector to support QA/QC activities for a large-scale data center project in Dubai, UAE. The role requires strong knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, piping, and mechanical plant, with coordination across contractors and project teams.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of QA/QC or construction quality experience, a mechanical engineering degree, and familiarity with document control platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of QA/QC, mechanical engineering or construction quality experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience on data centers or mission-critical projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, pumps, ductwork, and fire protection.
• Experience reviewing drawings, ITPs, NCRs, and quality records.
• Familiarity with document control platforms (Aconex, Procore, BIM 360).
• Excellent coordination and communication skills.
• MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Support the project quality management system for mechanical works, ensuring compliance with drawings and specs.
• Review approved mechanical drawings, specs, method statements, ITPs and project quality requirements.
• Conduct site inspections for HVAC, chilled water, piping, drainage, and mechanical equipment installations.
• Monitor contractor performance for compliance with approved quality procedures and standards.
• Review and verify inspection requests, material approvals, test reports, and NCRs.
• Identify installation defects and non-conforming work; support NCR issuance and closeout.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, MEP engineers, commissioning teams, and stakeholders to resolve quality issues.
• Support material receiving inspections and QA documentation
• Maintain quality records, inspection logs, punch lists, NCR trackers, test records, and closeout documents
• Assist in preparing QA reports and dashboards for client review.
