Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Previous experience as an Accountant or in a similar finance role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT and basic tax compliance procedures is an advantage.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records
• Record daily sales, purchases, receipts, payments, expenses and journal entries
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
• Prepare and process sales invoices, purchase invoices, receipts, payment vouchers and credit notes
• Verify financial documents and ensure transactions are properly authorized and recorded
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Perform regular bank and cash reconciliations
• Monitor customer outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments
• Review supplier statements and reconcile outstanding balances
• Prepare monthly financial statements, schedules and management reports
• Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities
• Monitor company expenses and maintain proper supporting documentation
• Prepare expense reports and assist management with financial information
• Maintain accurate records of fixed assets, prepaid expenses and other accounting items
• Assist with budgeting, cash-flow monitoring and financial planning
• Support the preparation of UAE VAT-related records and documentation
• Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documents and schedules
• Identify accounting discrepancies and take appropriate corrective action
• Maintain organized digital and physical financial files
• Coordinate with management, HR, administration, procurement and other departments regarding financial matters
• Prepare financial summaries and reports for management review
• Maintain confidentiality of company financial information
• Ensure accounting entries are completed accurately and within deadlines
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by management
