Job summary

Sunmarke School in Dubai is seeking an experienced DT/ICT Technician to support Design & Technology, Electronics, Product Design and ICT across Key Stage 3, GCSE and Post-16. You will prepare workshops, labs and ICT spaces, set up tools and CAD/CAM resources, and assist staff and students with practical activities.

The role emphasizes safe working practices, stock management and collaboration with the IT department to ensure smooth delivery of curriculum and assessments.

Qualifications

• Experience in DT, ICT or technical support in a school or similar environment.
• Awareness of CAD/CAM, 3D printing and laser cutting.
• Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
• Excellent record-keeping and stock-management skills.
• Solid knowledge of health and safety in practical learning spaces.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Committed to safeguarding and student welfare.
• Experience supporting GCSE or Post-16 DT/Computing/ICT courses.
• Familiarity with electronics, coding or STEAM activities.
• Experience with procurement and supplier liaison.

Responsibilities

• Prepare DT workshops, ICT rooms and spaces for lessons.
• Set up tools, machinery, materials, components, consumables and PPE.
• Prepare resources for practical projects, coursework and exams.
• Maintain safe, organised learning environments and resources.
• Create and manage student work and departmental resources.
• Prepare CAD/CAM resources including 3D printing and CNC work.
