The Drilling Supervisor is responsible for controlling operational activities associated with drilling, workover, and well completion programs on an assigned rig. The position involves directing contractor activities, supervising specialist oilfield services, coordinating equipment and material requirements, and ensuring that field operations comply with approved programs and safety procedures. The supervisor also evaluates changing operational conditions and recommends appropriate adjustments to maintain safe and effective drilling and well intervention activities.
The Drilling Supervisor prepares daily drilling and workover reports covering operational activities completed during the preceding 24 hours. Reports must summarize rig activities, operational progress, and associated costs. The position also involves monitoring expenditure related to assigned operations and supporting the efficient use of materials, equipment, and contracted services within the approved financial budget.
A minimum of 5 years of experience is required. The role involves practical understanding of drilling, workover, well completion, and rig site operations. Relevant operational knowledge includes contractor coordination, drilling program execution, oilfield service activities, equipment utilization, operational reporting, and health, safety, and environmental compliance.
