Job summary

ADNOC (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company) is seeking a drilling engineering specialist to provide technical support and maintain ADNOC Drilling applications for well planning, BHA optimization and real-time drilling performance. You will ensure safe and efficient operations through accurate engineering analysis and digital workflows.

Responsibilities include collision avoidance planning, post-well performance reviews, and guidance on BHA design, hydraulics, torque and drag mitigation, plus modeling

Qualifications

• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, environmental standards, operational guidelines and ADNOC policies and procedures.
• Prepare well plans, engineering calculations and integrated pre-well planning program.
• Implement collision avoidance planning using industry-standard anti-collision rules and ADNOC guidelines.
• Monitor real-time wellbore positioning and apply corrective actions to prevent well-to-well interference during drilling.
• Perform torque & drag, hydraulics and vibration modelling for complex wells.
• Provide the needed technical assistance during drilling.
• Maintain engineering documentation in company server for easy access and knowledge sharing.
• Prepare post-well performance reviews, End of well report and lessons learned reports.
• Provide technical guidance on BHA design, hydraulics, torque & drag and vibration mitigation.
• Support operations with planning, engineering and optimization.
• Model drilling performance using simulation software.
• Recommend tools and technologies for improved efficiency.
• Analyze offset wells data and operational KPIs.
• Identify performance gaps and propose optimization strategies.
