Job summary

ADNOC Drilling is seeking an IT-focused applications engineer to support and maintain drilling-related software used for well planning, BHA optimization and real-time performance analysis. The role requires engineering insight, disciplined documentation, and collaboration with drilling teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.

The successful candidate will contribute to end-of-well analyses, lessons learned, and continuous improvement through digital workflows and simulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent.
• 6 years of experience in drilling engineering or applications.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety protocols and ADNOC policies during operations.
• Prepare well plans and engineering calculations for pre-well planning.
• Monitor real-time drilling performance and implement collision avoidance planning.
• Provide technical support for BHA optimization and well planning tools.
• Maintain engineering documentation and post-well performance reports.
• Advise on BHA design, hydraulics, torque & drag, and vibration mitigation.
