Job summary

Volt Management Services Limited seeks an experienced driller to join our construction team in Dubai. Responsibilities include setting up and operating drilling rigs, monitoring drilling parameters, and maintaining logs. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, able to work outdoors in all weather, and ensure safety procedures are followed.

Applicants should have KCSE, a completed apprenticeship in drilling, and 3+ years of drilling experience. NVQ may be advantageous; Kenyan passport held.

Qualifications

• KCSE completed with results.
• Kenyan passport with minimum 1 year validity.
• Certified Grade Test credential.
• 3 years of drilling rigs operation experience.
• Completed apprenticeship in drilling operations.
• NVQ in drilling operations may be advantageous.
• Basic health and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Set up drilling rigs at designated points per survey and instructions.
• Operate drilling rigs for piling, borewell or ground investigations.
• Monitor depth, pressure and mud flow during drilling.
• Change drill bits, rods and casing as required.
• Identify and resolve drilling issues; escalate when needed.
• Maintain accurate drilling logs and records.
• Perform routine maintenance on rigs and tools.
• Coordinate with drilling helper and site engineers.
• Ensure compliance with site safety procedures.
• Clean and secure rig and site after works.

We are looking for an experienced driller to join our construction team. The responsibilities of the driller include setting up and operating drilling rigs monitoring drilling parameters and maintaining accurate records of drilling operations.

To be a successful driller you should be able to operate drilling equipment safely and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Ultimately a top-notch driller should be physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather types.

Driller Responsibilities

• Setting up drilling rigs at designated points as per survey markings and instructions.
• Operating drilling rigs for piling borewell or ground investigation works.
• Monitoring drilling parameters such as depth pressure and fluid/mud flow.
• Selecting and changing drill bits rods and casing as required.
• Identifying and resolving drilling issues escalating where necessary.
• Maintaining accurate drilling logs and records.
• Carrying out routine maintenance and inspection of the rig and drilling tools.
• Coordinating with the drilling helper and site engineers throughout operations.
• Ensuring drilling operations comply with site safety procedures.
• Cleaning and securing the rig and site after completion of works.

Driller Requirements

• KCSE
• Kenyan Passport (valid minimum 1 year validity)
• Certified Grade Test
• 3 years working experience operating drilling rigs.
• A completed apprenticeship in drilling operations.
• An NVQ certification in drilling operations may be advantageous.
• Basic work experience in construction may be advantageous.
• A good understanding of health and safety issues.
• The ability to read and follow technical plans and instructions.
• The ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Good physical fitness.
• Strong practical problem-solving and teamwork skills.
