Job summary

NMDC Careers in the United Arab Emirates seeks a senior dredging project manager to lead complex marine construction programs in Abu Dhabi. You will oversee capital and maintenance dredging, reclamation, beach nourishment, breakwaters, and port development projects, coordinating dredgers, support vessels, and plant.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Marine, or Coastal Engineering (related field) is required.
  • Master's degree is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all dredging operations, including capital dredging, maintenance dredging, reclamation, beach nourishment, breakwater, and port development projects.
  • Develop and implement project execution plans, work schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate the deployment and utilization of dredgers, support vessels, floating equipment, and plant.
  • Monitor daily production, project progress, and operational performance to achieve project targets.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, contract requirements, and quality standards.
  • Manage project budgets, cost control, forecasting, and productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise and mentor project teams, including Engineers, Superintendents, Surveyors, and Marine Supervisors.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies, environmental regulations, and marine safety requirements.
  • Review hydrographic surveys, dredging progress reports, and production data to optimize operations.
  • Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation measures.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and present project updates to senior management and clients.
  • Resolve technical and operational challenges while maintaining project objectives.
