Job summary

National Marine Dredging Company in Abu Dhabi seeks a seasoned Dredging Project Manager to lead day-to-day dredging activities, align with the project plan, and report progress weekly to the Works Manager. The role requires strong leadership, data interpretation, and the ability to drive efficiency across subcontractors and crews.

Candidates should have an Engineering degree with 5 years in dredging, and ideally PMP certification.

Qualifications

• Engineering Master / bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification.
• 5 years of experience on dredging projects in a relevant role.
• In-depth understanding of dredging processes and equipment.
• Ability to transform raw data into readable formats and draw conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and be responsible for day to day dredging activities on a project.
• Provide input for the development of the detailed project plan.
• Ensure dredging activities are executed as per project plan.
• Provide weekly report to the Works Manager on milestones, work done, progress, budget, issues and planning.
• Delegate tasks to dredge supervisor and Sr. dredge masters; analyze their daily reports and suggest efficiency improvements; identify risks and mitigations; escalate if needed.
• Monitor, evaluate and control activities of subcontractors.
• Ensure cooperation between project team members and smooth data transfer to stakeholders.
• Coordinate and plan optimal staffing for dredging related activities.
• Cooperate with Technical-, QA/HSE-, Estimation & Operational Advisory departments.

Job description

• Manage and be responsible for day to day dredging activities on a project
• Provide the Dredging Works manager with input for the development of the detailed project plan
• Ensure that dredging activities are executed as per project plan
• Provide weekly report to the Works Manager on milestones, work/ done, progress, budget, issues and planning
• Delegate specific responsibilities to dredge supervisor and Sr. dredge masters(s) and analyze their daily reports. Assess performance and suggest efficiency improvement activities. Identify risks and appropriate mitigations; elevate if necessary to Works
• Monitor, evaluate and control activities of subcontractors
• Ensure cooperation between project team members and a smooth data/ information transfer to internal and if applicable, external stakeholders
• Coordinate and plan optimal staffing for dredging related activities
• Cooperate constructively, efficiently and effectively with Technical-, QA/HSE-, Estimation & Operational Advisory departments

• Engineering Master / bachelor's degree or an equivalent professional qualification
• 5 years of experience on dredging projects in relevant role
• PMP certification will be an asset
• In depth understanding of dredging processes/use of dredging equipment/ land reclamation/ pipelines, cutter types, pick points etc
• Ability to transform raw data (CSV-files, loggings) into readable format and ability to interpret this format and come to relevant conclusion based on the converted raw date
