Job summary

Archirodon Construction (Overseas) Company Limited in Abu Dhabi invites a skilled Draftsman (Electrical & Instrumentation) to join our engineering team. You will prepare electrical and instrumentation drawings, layouts and cable tray plans using AutoCAD 2022 (2D/3D) in accordance with project standards.

You will review subcontractor drawings, maintain drawing databases, ensure on-time delivery and support QA/QC with clear documentation and accurate revisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience as Draftsman (Electrical & Instrumentation).
• Computer literacy, proficient in AutoCAD 2022 (2D & 3D).
• Previous experience in combined layout, cable tray layout and section drawings for utility services & buildings.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the development of ENG drafting standards, proposes improvements and corrections of drafting procedures.
• Reviews and comments on project drafting requirements as applicable.
• Performs drafting works by CAD or by hand as required, per project specifications and ENG quality standards.
• Reviews drawings from Engineering Subcontractor for compatibility with project drafting standards.

Participates in the development of the ENG drafting standards proposes improvements and corrections of the drafting procedures reviews and comments on project drafting requirements as applicable Performs drafting works by computer assisted drafting system CAD or by hand if so required in accordance with project drafting specifications and ENG quality standards Ensures drafting activities performed on time determines the causes of any deviation and seeks assistance by his peers whenever required so that any potential problems or delays are mitigated promptly Reviews drafting works performed by Engineering Subcontractor and comments their compatibility with project and department drafting standards if so instructed Ensures that the drawing database is kept abreast maintained and accessible to engineering staff Responsible for Design and AutoCAD Drafting Shop Drawings

Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering Diploma in AutoCAD

Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in as Draftsman (Electrical & Instrumentation) Computer literacy, proficient in computer skills including AutoCAD 2022 (2D & 3D), MS Office Previous experience in combined layout, cable tray layout and section drawings for utility services & buildings.
