Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in engineering or equivalent years of relevant experience.
  • Certification in AutoCAD required.
  • Experience of BIM (Building Information Module) is a must.
  • Minimum 5-6 years of relevant work experience in Elevator/Escalator industry.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Good communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the FOD/Sales team for site information.
  • Draft complex installation drawings using CAD software.
  • Review installation drawings for technical details.
  • Perform changes in layout according to client requirements.
  • Maintain and update drawing registers as per drawing procedure.
  • Identify operational issues and redesign products.
  • Record modification requests and execute after approval.
  • Ensure final designs comply with quality standards.
  • Maintain a process for all technical drawings.
  • Ensure safety requirements are stipulated on layout drawings.

Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinates with the FOD/Sales team for information on the site to support the team with drawings for estimation and installation purposes.

  • Drafts complex installation drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software, based on customer supplied drawings, standard drawings and field inputs given by the FOD/Sales team.

  • Reviews installation drawings with FOD teams for technical details and sales team for verification of specification at project completion.

  • Performs changes in layout according to client requirement.

  • Maintains and updates the drawing registers as per drawing procedure.

  • Identifies potential operational issues and redesigns products to improve functionality.

  • Records modification requests received by the client or internal teams and carry out the modification after review and approval from the concerned FOD team.

  • Ensures final designs comply with regulations and quality standards.

  • Maintains a process for all drawings (customer supplied drawings, standard drawing, installation drawings and revised drawings) to ensure they are updated.

  • Ensures that all safety requirements are stipulated on the layout drawing in line with the company requirement.

  • Executes document and data control procedures related to technical drawings.

  • Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the year.

  • Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the reporting manager to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended.

  • Strives to achieve the highest levels of proficiency on all the competencies and skills required to perform the role.

Required Qualification and Skills
  • Bachelor’s in engineering or equivalent years of relevant experience

  • Certification in AutoCAD,

  • Experience of BIM (Building Information Module) is a must

  • Minimum 5-6 years of relevant work experience in Elevator/Escalator industry

  • Proficient in MS Office

  • Good Communication skills in English
