Job summary

Safad seeks a skilled Drafter (Draftsman) to join our technical team in Abu Dhabi. You will create precise drawings, layouts, and schematics while ensuring NFPA codes and safety standards are strictly followed.

You will work with engineers and managers to deliver compliant designs in a dynamic environment, handling site surveys and project data collection as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, or related field.
• Proven up to 5 years as a Drafter/Draftsman in a professional setting.
• In-depth knowledge of and strict compliance with NFPA codes and safety standards.
• Multilingual capability: Fluency in Arabic, English, and Hindi.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant drafting and BIM software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, design, and modify technical drawings, schematics, and floor plans per project specifications and NFPA codes.
• Review and apply NFPA Standards to all design drafts (fire alarm, fire suppression, sprinklers, life safety).
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure drawings meet technical and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct site surveys and measurements to collect data for drawing preparation when required.
• Perform quality control checks on drafting work to ensure accuracy and code compliance.
• Maintain and organize drawing archives, project files, and revision histories.
• Assist in preparing BOQ and material submittals based on approved drawings.
