Domain Architect – AI Architecture in Dubai, within the Banking sector is a senior enterprise technology opportunity focused on AI platforms, GenAI services, domain architecture, cloud integration, and future‑state banking technology strategy. The role is designed for an experienced architecture leader who can shape enterprise AI foundations, govern technology standards, guide modernization roadmaps, and support secure, scalable, and compliant digital transformation across complex banking environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and evolve future‑state architecture for the assigned AI domain, including architecture principles, standards, patterns, and reference architectures.
- Establish architectural mechanisms that guide technology selection, platform usage, modernization, and lifecycle evolution.
- Own and maintain the AI technology catalog, including Invest, Hold, and Disinvest positioning for AI platforms, tools, and capabilities.
- Develop multi‑year AI architecture roadmaps aligned with business strategy, regulatory expectations, banking technology priorities, and long‑term sustainability.
- Define and govern standards for AI‑ML, GenAI, MLOps, LLMOps, AIOps, agentic systems, and enterprise AI platform adoption.
- Drive consistent adoption of approved AI architectures across application, technology, platform, and delivery teams.
- Support modernization, consolidation, and managed exit strategies for legacy or duplicated technologies.
- Prepare architecture position papers, option assessments, roadmap documents, and executive‑level recommendations.
- Govern solution and platform designs through enterprise architecture forums, ensuring alignment with approved standards, reference patterns, and catalog technologies.
- Manage non‑standard designs through structured alignment, risk review, or formally governed exceptions.
- Ensure architecture direction addresses scalability, resilience, security, data protection, regulatory compliance, and operational sustainability.
- Collaborate with Technology Owners, Application Teams, Solution Architects, Cloud, Data, Security, and governance stakeholders.
- Assess vendor and partner solutions to confirm alignment with enterprise and domain architecture direction.
- Promote automation and AI‑enabled approaches to improve architecture governance, standards management, design reviews, and EA capability maturity.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 15 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Domain Architecture, Solution Architecture, or related senior technology roles.
- Strong technical foundation gained through hands‑on engineering experience in areas such as software engineering, platform engineering, system administration, DevOps, or cloud engineering.
- Proven experience defining future‑state architectures and influencing strategic platform decisions in large‑scale enterprise environments.
- Hands‑on expertise in AI‑ML engineering, GenAI, MLOps, AIOps, AI model lifecycle management, LLMOps, and agentic system design.
- Strong knowledge of data architecture and enterprise data platform considerations.
- Practical experience with public cloud platforms and hybrid integration, especially AWS and Azure AI or GenAI services.
- Familiarity with security protocols and data protection standards used in banking environments, including OAuth2, TLS, PKI, and DLP.
- Proven ability to design architecture based on real delivery, operational, and production experience.
- Experience operating within regulated, banking‑grade technology environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, containers, databases, middleware, security tooling, platform services, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Ability to influence architecture outcomes across multiple delivery teams without direct delivery ownership.
- Knowledge of security‑by‑design, regulatory compliance, operational risk, and technology governance.
- Cloud provider certification from AWS or Azure is an advantage.
- TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture certification is preferred.
- Experience working in Agile and DevOps delivery models.
- Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and executive advisory skills.
