Job summary

Black & Grey HR is partnering with a leading UAE contracting company to recruit a skilled DLP Engineer – Civil to manage post-handover civil works and defect resolution. You will perform site inspections, coordinate with contractors, monitor repairs, maintain defect registers, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 5–7 years of relevant experience, and strong documentation and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• 5–7 years of civil construction, DLP operations, building maintenance, or facility management experience.
• Solid knowledge of building construction, waterproofing, finishing works, structural repairs, QA/QC procedures, and construction drawings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong problem-solving, coordination, communication, planning, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle civil defects and maintenance concerns identified during the Defects Liability Period.
• Perform site inspections, evaluate reported issues, and determine appropriate corrective actions.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams to complete rectification works.
• Monitor ongoing repairs and ensure workmanship meets approved quality and safety requirements.
• Manage civil issues related to waterproofing, finishes, structural repairs, and general building works.
• Maintain accurate defect registers, inspection records, progress updates, and closure documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, property management teams, and end users regarding reported issues and work progress.
• Inspect completed corrective works and secure the required approvals for final closure.
• Prepare periodic reports covering open, ongoing, and completed DLP items.
• Identify repeated defects and suggest preventive solutions to minimize recurrence.
