We’re Hiring: Distinguished AI Engineer

Level: Principal / Distinguished

We are seeking an exceptionally experienced, innovative, and technically accomplished Distinguished AI Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced artificial intelligence solutions at scale. This role will provide technical leadership across AI initiatives, establish engineering standards, solve complex technical challenges, and work closely with executive leadership, research, product, data, and engineering teams to drive AI innovation and business impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead the technical vision and architecture for advanced AI and machine learning systems.
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI solutions for complex business and technical challenges.
• Lead the development of machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, NLP, computer vision, recommendation, and predictive systems where applicable.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies, models, frameworks, and research to identify opportunities for innovation.
• Develop and optimize AI/ML architectures for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Lead the integration and deployment of large language models, foundation models, AI agents, and intelligent automation solutions.
• Establish best practices for model development, experimentation, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, Software Engineers, Product Managers, Researchers, and business stakeholders.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to senior and junior AI engineering teams.
• Lead complex technical investigations and resolve high-impact AI and engineering challenges.
• Develop strategies for model optimization, inference efficiency, latency reduction, and resource utilization.
• Design robust data pipelines, feature engineering processes, model training workflows, and MLOps infrastructure.
• Establish AI quality, reliability, security, governance, and responsible AI practices.
• Define technical standards, architecture patterns, coding practices, and engineering guidelines for AI development.
• Evaluate model performance using appropriate accuracy, reliability, fairness, robustness, latency, and business-impact metrics.
• Lead proof-of-concept initiatives and transform successful research concepts into production-ready AI products.
• Partner with executive leadership to identify strategic AI opportunities and develop technology roadmaps.
• Support intellectual property development, technical research, publications, patents, or industry innovation initiatives where applicable.
• Monitor developments in AI research, foundation models, generative AI, reinforcement learning, autonomous systems, and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Extensive professional experience in AI engineering, machine learning, deep learning, software engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• Demonstrated track record of designing and deploying complex AI/ML systems at scale.
• Deep expertise in machine learning and artificial intelligence architectures, algorithms, and engineering practices.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++, Java, or similar languages.
• Extensive experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, Hugging Face, or similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of LLMs, generative AI, transformers, model fine-tuning, RAG, AI agents, or other modern AI technologies is preferred.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, data pipelines, APIs, microservices, containers, and scalable software architecture.
• Extensive experience with MLOps, model deployment, monitoring, versioning, and production AI infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of AI evaluation, model optimization, responsible AI, security, and governance.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and systems-thinking abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to influence technical strategy across multiple engineering and business teams.
• Excellent communication and technical leadership skills with the ability to explain complex AI concepts to technical and executive audiences.
• Proven experience mentoring senior engineers, technical leads, and multidisciplinary AI teams.
• PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred.
• Significant contributions to AI research, patents, publications, open-source projects, or recognized industry innovation are an advantage.
