Job summary

Michael Page is representing a Dubai-based private investment group hiring an Investment Director. The role focuses on screening and executing opportunities across media and related sectors, with ownership of financial modelling, due diligence and negotiation processes.

You will lead end-to-end transactions, coordinate with founders and senior stakeholders, and monitor portfolio performance while contributing to value creation and strategic exits.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years in private equity, principal investing, family offices, or related investing environments.
• Experience focusing on media, technology or consumer sectors preferred.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation and investment analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate investment opportunities across media, private investments and portfolio company transactions.
• Build financial models and valuations from the ground up for complex opportunities.
• Lead end-to-end due diligence, data room management and advisor coordination.
• Structure and support negotiations on investment terms and shareholder agreements.
• Prepare investment papers and recommendations for senior stakeholders and investment committees.
• Manage transaction execution and post‑investment value creation initiatives.
• Monitor portfolio performance and support refinancing, acquisitions or disposals.
• Develop relationships with founders, management teams, advisors and counterparties.
• Assess opportunities across asset classes and sectors, providing commercial recommendations.
• Support portfolio companies operationally with on-site assessments and problem solving.

The environment is entrepreneurial, fast-paced and highly commercial, offering direct exposure to senior decision-makers and complex investment transactions

Job Description

• Screen and evaluate investment opportunities across media, private investments and portfolio company transactions.


• Build financial models and valuation analyses from the ground up, including businesses with complex or informal financial information.


• Lead end-to-end due diligence processes, including data room management, advisor coordination, reference checks and financial analysis


• Structure and support negotiations on investment terms, shareholder agreements, earn-outs and commercial arrangements.


• Prepare concise investment papers and recommendations for senior stakeholders and investment committees.


• Manage transaction execution and support post-investment integration and value creation initiatives.


• Monitor portfolio performance, prepare board and performance reporting materials, and support refinancing, acquisition and disposal activities.


• Develop and maintain relationships with founders, management teams, advisors and investment counterparties.


• Assess investment opportunities across a variety of asset classes and sectors, providing commercial recommendations to senior principals


• Support portfolio companies operationally where required, including on-site business assessments and problem-solving initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Investment Director should have:

• 10-15 years' experience within private equity, principal investing, family offices, investment management or a related investment environment, focusing on media, technology or consumer sectors


• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business or a related discipline; advanced professional qualifications are advantageous


• Demonstrated experience executing both minority and control investment transactions.


• Strong financial modelling, valuation and investment analysis capabilities.


• Proven ability to lead due diligence processes and manage complex transactions independently.


• Experience working directly with founders, business owners and senior stakeholders.


• Strong judgement, commercial acumen and decision-making skills.
