MBZUAI, a leading AI-focused university in Abu Dhabi, is seeking a senior leader to establish and oversee Postdoctoral Affairs. You will shape strategic direction, coordinate with academic leadership, and drive policies that govern postdoctoral programs.

Responsibilities include onboarding collaboration with HR, developing career development initiatives, and maintaining a data-driven view of postdoctoral outcomes. Candidate should bring leadership in higher education and governance.

Competenze

• Master's degree in higher education administration, AI, CS, engineering, or related field.
• 8–12 years in academic research environments.
• Experience supervising postdoctoral researchers.
• Experience in governance, policy development, or research administration.
• Experience in higher education leadership roles.

Mansioni

• Create and implement the strategy for Postdoctoral Affairs.
• Liaise with Divisional Deans and academic leadership on postdoctoral guidelines.
• Represent postdoctoral affairs in university-wide committees.
• Evaluate and evolve postdoctoral programs and processes.
• Partner with HR and Academic Appointments for onboarding.
• Develop and deliver postdoctoral career development programming.
• Build and sustain a sense of community among postdoctoral researchers.
• Maintain a data dashboard tracking the postdoctoral population and outcomes.
