Job summary

McDermott in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Senior Principal E&M Specialist to lead complex marine equipment & machinery projects. You will apply advanced marine engineering principles, guide cross-functional teams, and ensure safety, quality, and budget adherence across EPCI offshore activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in marine engineering with expertise in marine operations, EPCI projects, and offshore activities.
• Knowledge of marine regulations, standards, and guidelines with ability to apply them practically.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills for diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert in the marine function for equipment and machinery.
• Apply advanced knowledge of marine engineering principles to oversee equipment and machinery used for marine operations.
• Analyze, interpret and provide recommendations on marine regulations to ensure compliance and project progress.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify marine-specific challenges and develop strategies.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Lead marine teams and coordinate with cross-functional teams to align with timelines and budgets.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior professionals.
