Job summary

Confidential in Dubai seeks a senior government communications leader to oversee media activities and ensure alignment with the department's strategic direction. You will monitor performance, develop plans, and drive campaigns across digital, print, and events.

Responsibilities include managing crises, directing the official spokesperson system, coordinating with government offices, and delivering high‑impact communications that support policy goals.

Qualifications

• UAE Nationals with a family book only.
• Master’s degree in communication and media, with at least 13 years of professional experience, including 3 years in a leadership role.
• Bachelor’s degree in communication and media, with at least 15 years of professional experience, including 3 years in a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the implementation of activities related to the department’s functions and contribute to the development of public policies and strategies for government communications, including overseeing all media activities.
• Manage media crises in coordination with the UAE Government Media Office and relevant stakeholders.
• Oversee the Ministry’s official spokesperson system and provide full support to the official spokesperson.
• Develop the department’s proposed strategic and operational plans, establish performance indicators, and work towards achieving them.
• Oversee the development of all visual, audio, and written marketing and advertising materials, and implement the entity’s promotional and marketing plans.
• Oversee the organization of events, community activities, and various government communication activities related to the entity’s functions.
• Oversee the implementation of internal and external communication strategies with stakeholders and partners.
• Oversee the implementation of the entity’s digital media strategy.
• Oversee the preparation and publication of the entity’s periodic publications.
• Coordinate with the Government Communication Office at the General Secretariat of the Cabinet to implement the UAE Government’s communication strategy.
• Respond to media inquiries in coordination with the relevant organizational units.
• Develop and implement media, marketing, and awareness campaigns and briefings covering the Ministry’s activities, initiatives, services, and achievements.
• Provide the necessary support to the direct supervisor and perform any other duties as assigned.
• Organize and manage the Ministry’s digital presence, including the development and management of content for websites, social media accounts, and service applications.
• Monitor administrative processes, including planning, budgeting, reporting, service delivery, oversight, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
• Develop internal plans to foster a strong team culture and promote continuous learning to ensure the delivery of high-quality work.
