Job description

The Digital Marketing Systems Specialist is an experienced individual responsible for developing, implementing, and managing digital marketing technology and automation strategies to align with business objectives, increase demand generation, and drive sales growth.

The role involves collaborating with marketing, sales, IT, and data teams to execute projects, select vendors, and implement solutions. The specialist provides recommendations, assists with reports, and presents to the digital marketing team to inform technology decisions. They deliver tangible improvements by managing platforms, workflows, and user support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Marketing Technology Manager in aligning IT and marketing, facilitating collaboration, system upgrades, maintenance, and issue resolution, especially related to automation and CRM integration.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Dynamics - Customer Insights Journeys, Google Tag Manager, and Google Analytics, supporting training and best practices for improved campaign execution.
  • Assist in implementing and optimizing AI-powered marketing automation workflows, customer journeys, and campaign management, including AB testing frameworks and initiatives such as webinars, personalisation, and forms to enhance user experience and lead generation.
  • Document processes and troubleshoot issues impacting marketing automation, lead management, and UX across platforms, seeking support when needed.
  • Maintain and improve global websites and develop microsites for campaigns to ensure functionality and lead generation.
  • Monitor data quality and compliance within Dynamics CRM, ensuring data accuracy and adherence to regulations like GDPR.
  • Support the implementation and integration of marketing technology platforms to enhance efficiency and performance.
  • Improve marketing ROI through website, CRM, content tools, and automation enhancements, establishing frameworks for global and regional teams.
  • Work with teams, agencies, and external partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of digital marketing channels.
  • Research industry benchmarks and developments to recommend innovative digital marketing channels, tactics, and technologies.
  • Facilitate training for digital and regional marketing teams, utilizing external agencies when needed.
  • Manage budgets, scope of work, and negotiations with digital marketing support agencies.

Technical / Professional Qualifications / Requirements

  • Degree in marketing or related field with extensive hands-on experience in digital marketing, website management, and marketing automation, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of IT and digital technologies, including Dynamics, Optimizely Web CMS, AI, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and SEO.
  • Proficiency in setting up personalization and A/B testing campaigns in Dynamics or similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
  • Experience in developing digital marketing strategies to increase leads and support sales.
  • Experience managing marketing budgets, contracts, and requirements gathering.
  • Experience with Demandbase, Microsoft Dynamics, Drift, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Skilled in problem-solving, reporting, and recommending improvements based on data analysis.
  • Passionate about marketing innovation and emerging technologies like AI and personalization.
  • Strong documentation and training skills, with an understanding of GDPR and marketing consent management.
